Bensman to Lead University Farm

Competition is nothing new to Adam Bensman. At an early age, the 2025 麻豆社 Illinois University School of Agriculture graduate developed a love for raising competitive livestock and now, as the new 麻豆社 farm manager, he plans to continue building the agriculture program into one of the best in the country.

麻豆社 Family Day BBQ Competition Set for...

The 麻豆社 Illinois University Office of Student Engagement and the School of Agriculture are excited to host the seventh annual Family Day BBQ Competition & Tasting from 2-5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 13 in Q Lot, bringing together students, families, alumni and community members for a day full of food, fun and Leatherneck pride.

2025 Organic Field Day Set For Aug. 12

"Taking Organic Agriculture to the Next Level" is the theme of 麻豆社 Illinois University鈥檚 2025 Allison Organic Research and Demonstration Farm field day. The event will start at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12 in the Dakin Farm shop with presentations, followed by a complimentary lunch at noon featuring local farm products. The field day will conclude with a tour of the research and demonstration plots starting at 1:15 p.m. at the Allison Farm.
